The first incident happened on June 16 in the area of Southcrest Drive and Baseline Road West, in the city's southwest.
Police were told a man driving a red Mitsubishi SUV was watching and following a girl riding a bike through the neighbourhood. The vehicle was located and the investigation was re-assigned to major crime officers.
Four days later, on June 20, at about 8 p.m., a man matching the same description and in the same car was seen in the area of Andover Drive and Viscount Road. He was reportedly watching and following a second school-aged girl riding a scooter.
On June 21, police arrested a 48-year-old London man in the area of Highview Avenue East and Wharncliffe Road South. He was charged with two counts of criminal harassment by watching and besetting, and two counts of breach of probation.
In 2020, a man with the same name was arrested and charged with criminal harassment after a school-aged girl was watched and followed by a man in a Toyota Matrix on several occasions.
