Gilgo Beach murder suspect Rex Heuermann to be charged with murders of two more women

Suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann will be charged in the murders of two additional women when he’s hauled back to court Thursday, sources told The Post.
The hulking Manhattan architect-turned-murder suspect will be arraigned on an indictment in the 2003 death of Jessica Taylor and the 1993 slaying of Sandra Costilla, sources said Wednesday.
The remains of Taylor, a 20-year-old woman working as an escort in New York City, were found in a wooded area in Manorville on July 26, 2003. Her additional remains — initially labeled “Jane Doe No. 5” — were discovered on March 29, 2011, along Ocean Parkway.
Costilla was murdered in 1993 but had not been included among the so-called Gilgo Beach victims — until now. Investigators suspected convicted serial killer John Bittrolff in Costilla’s death, but he was never charged in her slaying — which remains one of several unsolved Long Island murders.
Heuermann, 60, is already charged in the deaths of four other women whose remains were found dumped along Ocean Parkway on Long Island’s South Shore.
The married Massapequa Park dad was arrested on July 13, 2023, in the deaths of the women, who are known collectively as the “Gilgo Four.”
