Giants’ Kayvon Thibodeaux, Dez Bryant get into ugly social media feud after Saquon Barkley dig
NY Post
Neither the Giants nor Cowboys played on Sunday, but the two sides went at each other anyway.
During the Eagles’ 55-23 win over the Commanders in the NFC Championship game, Dez Bryant — the Cowboys’ former star receiver — first took a dig at the Giants.
Moments after Saquon Barkley rushed for a 60-yard touchdown on the Eagles’ first offensive play of the game, Bryant wrote “The Giants have got to be sick; I don’t care what anyone says” on X, along with a laughing emoji.
Barkley notably signed with the Eagles this past offseason after spending the first six years of his career with the Giants, who drafted him No. 2 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.
It didn’t take long for Giants edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux to fire back.
“We got the same amount of SB [sic],” Thibodeaux posted in response, referencing both having not won a Super Bowl.
This was near the end of a magnificent American life, and he’d been battling lung and prostate cancer for some time, but Pee Wee Reese was absolutely going to get in the car and make the drive from Louisville to Kansas City. The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum was honoring his dear friend Jackie Robinson, and Reese knew that meant seeing so many friends from the old days.
The pity is, at this point, the greatness we are watching in real time is threatened every week to be reduced to a footnote. We are witnesses to history, to the rarest form of extended success in a time of professional sport that’s supposed to be ruled by parity. But every year we have to deal with something else first.
