Ghaziabad: Citizens to march to farmers' protest site, ask them to clear out
India Today
With the farm laws repealed, the Association of Apartment Owners has planned a march from Amrapali village in Ghaziabad till the farmers’ protest site to ask them to move out.
It has been a year since the farmers began their agitation against the Centre’s three farm laws. They have been camping at three border points of Delhi -- Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur -- for the last 12 months. The movement against the contentious legislation began with a "Dilli Chalo" march on November 26-27 last year.
While there is no question that farmers had to face many hardships during their year-long protest, it is also a fact that ordinary citizens also encountered a few inconveniences during this time -- for many people, it was an year of blocked highways and trying to find alternative routes of commute.
