Getting veggies at London's 2 farmers markets? No need to show proof of vaccination

London's two farmers market won't require customers to show proof of vaccination to enter the buildings but anyone wanting to dine must show their vaccine passports and sit in a designated area.
Both the Covent Garden Market in the downtown, and Market at Western Fair District in Old East Village have vendors at stalls, but there is also seating where customers can eat.
Bob Usher, CEO at Covent Garden, said it's been challenging figuring out how to pull off the vaccine pass system, which began Wednesday. He calls it "a very unique and different environment" when compared to a restaurant or grocery store.
As of Monday, the Middlesex London Health Unit had received more than 730 calls from local businesses on how to carry out the passport system.
Patrons must show proof that they've received two doses of an approved vaccine at least two weeks before, along with identification that matches their vaccination document.
At least three additional staff members need to be hired to help police the vaccine passports. "It gets very expensive, time consuming and I don't even know where I'm going to get those people," Usher said.
People working in the stalls at the Covent Gardent Market are not required to be vaccinated, despite the passport requirement in the dining areas.
