While Satyendra was involved in the research for skin cancer, Larissa was doing research on prostate cancer. They met in 2019 and after getting to know each other they decided to get married after three years.
Larissa looked beautiful in her desi bridal look. She opted for a blue-and-red lehenga and was decked up in fine jewellery. Satyendra complemented her well in a gold sherwani.

Both of them wanted to get married in India and Larissa was keen to know more about the culture. “I have to come to enjoy my life in India. The people here are very nice,” said Larissa. There is a difference between our cultures. I don’t understand much of Hindi but Satyendra helps me to translate,” she added.
Larissa came to India on a special visa to tie the knot with Satyendra. She wanted to get married according to Indian rituals and customs. Due to some visa issues, her parents couldn’t be a part of her wedding but Satyendra’s whole family was present and celebrated their love with enthusiasm. They had their wedding at a hotel in Rajgir.
Satyendra Kumar is the son of Vishnudev Mahato and Shyama Devi, who belong to Berota, Bihar.
