The Rajasthan CM also urged the defence minister to ensure a concession of two years for the candidates for Army recruitment rallies.
Rajasthan chief minister (CM) Ashok Gehlot sent a letter to defence minister Rajnath Singh, urging him to ensure early organisation of army recruitment rallies in the state.
"I have written a letter to defence minister Rajnath Singh about the early organisation of Army recruitment rallies in the state. I have mentioned in the letter that because of the Covid-19 pandemic for the last two years, regular organisation of rallies for recruitment in the Army could not happen," the CM said.
Gehlot also urged the defence minister to ensure a concession of two years for the candidates for Army recruitment rallies.
"Because of the two-year gap, thousands of young people have crossed the maximum age limit fixed for recruitment and their dream of recruitment into the Armed forces is shattered. I have also urged the defence minister to give a concession of two years in the maximum age limit of these candidates in the recruitment rallies," Gehlot said.
