GCC Ministerial Committee discusses Gulf Manual for Control of Imported Food, Unified Food Law

The State of Qatar participated in the 5th meeting of the GCC Ministerial Committee for Food Safety.

The State of Qatar was represented in the meeting, which was held via video conference technologies, by Minister of Public Health H E Dr. Hanan Mohammad Al Kuwari. The meeting discussed a number of important topics, most notably the update of the Gulf Manual for the Control of Imported Food, the GCC Unified Food Law, the Strategic Plan of the Gulf Committee for Food Safety 2021-2025, and the mechanism for imposing and lifting the ban on the import of food of animal origin and its products in the GCC countries.
