
Gap for 2nd Covishield dose relaxed for study abroad students

The central government has announced relaxation for the gap between two Covishield doses for students with plans to study abroad this year.
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided to offer relaxation in the time period between two Covishield doses for people falling in certain categories. The Ministry’s release shows that this relaxation is also being offered to students travelling abroad for studies. The government said that the stipulated gap of 12 to 16 weeks between the two Covishield doses will be reduced for people falling under the special categories set by the Ministry of Health, which includes people travelling for studies, jobs, or the Olympics. The release further said that the states and UT governments shall designate a competent authority in each district for according permission to the administration of the second dose of Covishield to the people who qualify for the relaxation.More Related News
