Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi is all set to hit the theatres on February 25. Ahead of that, the makers dropped the first track from the film today, February 10. Titled Dholida, the song shows Alia Bhatt in a total bosslady avatar. The song is sung by Janhvi Shrimankar and Shail Hada. And the lyrics are written by Kumar.
Alia Bhatt wrapped up the shooting of Gangubai Kathiawadi on July 27 last year. The first song from the film released today. Dholida is a foot tapping number which shows Alia clad in a white saree and bold makeup, gajra in hair, walking in the center and dancing with other women. The actress is seen performing powerful steps.

Alia Bhatt-starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi has been awarded a UA certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). It has also got some minor cuts. According to reports, of the total changes made in the film, the duration has been reduced by only a minute or two. A scene that features India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, embedding a rose on Gangubai, has been modified.
Gangubai Kathiawadi is a biographical crime drama based on Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film is produced by Jayantilal Gada. Besides Alia Bhatt, Gangubai Kathiawadi also stars Ajay Devgn and Shantanu Maheshwari. The upcoming film narrates the story of a woman named Ganga, played by Alia, who becomes a madame named Gangubai in the red light area of Kamathipura. The story shows how she rose to power, fighting one challenge after another. The Gangubai Kathiawadi trailer introduces Alia as a respected and commanding figure. She even contests elections against arch rival, played by another brothel owner Rasiyabai (Vijay Raaz).
