Gangubai Kathiawadi box office collection Day 9: Alia Bhatt-starrer continues to shine despite competition

Gangubai Kathiawadi is making all the noise at the box office. The film is doing great business despite competition from The Batman and Jhund.

Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi has received raving reviews and fans are loving it. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film stars Alia Bhatt and was released on February 25. Within a week of release, the film crossed Rs 100 crore worldwide.

Tweeting about the box office collection, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, "#GangubaiKathiawadi commences Week 2 on a strong note, despite facing stiff competition from #TheBatman in #Mumbai and #Delhi Biz expected to grow on [second] Sat and Sun [Week 2] Fri 5.01 cr. Gangubai Kathiawadi is a biographical crime drama based on Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Besides Alia Bhatt, the film stars Ajay Devgn, Parth Samthaan, Shantanu Maheshwari and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles.
