Gadchiroli Police arrest 3 naxalites with collective reward of Rs 10 lakh for them

Gadchiroli police on Sunday arrested three Naxalites, including one woman for whom the Maharashtra government had announced a collective reward of Rs 10 lakh.
The Gadchiroli Police in Maharashtra on Sunday arrested three Naxalites for whom the state government had announced a collective reward of Rs 10 lakh.
The three arrested were identified as Ramesh Pallo (29), Tani alias Shashi Pungati (23) and Arjun alias Mahesh Narote (27). Ramesh and Tani were arrested during an anti-Naxal operation by the CRPF and police personnel in the Koyar forest area. Arjun was nabbed in another operation at Jharewada village.

The state had announced a reward of Rs 4 lakh for Ramesh, Rs 2 lakh for Arjun and Rs 4 lakh for Tani.
Ramesh was involved in a total of 13 offences, which included three murders and eight encounters. Meanwhile, Tani was involved in four murder cases and three encounters. Among the three arrested, Arjun has the highest number of criminal records with 24 offences involving seven murders, nine encounters and one robbery, among others.
