The prices of petrol and diesel were kept stable by oil marketing companies (OMC) for the 13th consecutive day in the country.
A litre of petrol stood at Rs 120.51 in Mumbai and diesel at Rs 104.77 a litre on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the most expensive petrol in the country is being sold in Parbhani, Maharashtra, at Rs 123.47 per litre.
Petrol in Delhi stood at Rs 105.41 per litre, after the last hike of 80 paise. Diesel in the city was priced at Rs 96.67.
The fuel rates were hiked by nearly 10 per litre across major Indian cities within a fortnight of back-to-back hikes after March 22. Before that, the price revision was on hold for four months since November last year.
Public sector OMCs including Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) revise the fuel prices daily in line with benchmark international prices and foreign exchange rates. Prices have increased across states but the magnitude of the revision in prices varies from state to state.
