School's not out for a another few weeks but the festive season is already well underway across Hamilton and the surrounding area.
Many small businesses and artisans are participating in holiday markets this weekend for people eager to avoid last-minute shopping, those looking for something interesting to do or others wanting to support local vendors.
Most markets are taking place on Saturday, but there are still sights to see on Friday and Sunday.
Here's a list of some of the events taking place Dec. 8 to 10.
Hamilton Craft Studios is hosting 40 craft, art and design vendors on Friday evening from 6 to 10 p.m., at 121 Princess St.
People who pay the $25 admission fee will be able to shop around for crafts, grab a bite, participate in a raffle and silent auction. There will also be sessions on wreath making and origami ornaments for $140 and $35 respectively.
On Saturday, Hamilton Craft Studios will also have a day full of workshops and demos.
The Burlington Handmade Market at Corpus Christi High School on Upper Middle Road will have over 40 vendors selling jewelry, crochet clothing, baked goods, body care products and more.
It takes place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Craftadian is also hosting a handmade market from 10 a.m., to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at McMaster Innovation Park on Longwood Road S.
There will be live music, food trucks and other options, as well as over 150 makers, artisans and designers there. It's $5 for the entrance fee.
The Hamilton Vintage Community will show off some of its vendors on Saturday from 11 a.m., to 4 p.m., at The Cotton Factory on 270 Sherman Ave. N.
Patrons can attend and park for free to peruse the collection of vintage clothing and items.
Some of the vendors include Antique Noak, Broke N Grown Up Vintage, Deedee's Cache, Fritz Found This, Ginny's Closet and more.
