As the BJP tries to set a "dynasty-free Bharat" narrative for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, here’s a look at some Congress dynasts that have joined the saffron party during Modi 2.0
The induction of Kuldeep Bishnoi into the Bharatiya Janata Party has once again brought into the limelight the dynasty politics in India. Even as several BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have repeatedly eschewed dynasties in politics, a number of Congress dynasts have found themselves welcomed into the party fold.
The BJP is also trying to set a "dynasty-free Bharat" narrative ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a vocal opponent of dynastic politics in the BJP. On several occasions, PM Modi has raised his voice against dynasties in politics. In an interview to news agency ANI in 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had slammed the idea of Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) saying that it was all about dynasties and not development.

In February 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his reply to Motion of Thanks on President's address in the Rajya Sabha, said, "Congress cannot look beyond its dynasty, which is the biggest threat to democracy.”
A day before the UP elections in February this year, Prime Minister Modi told news agency ANI that dynastic politics directly impacts the entry of talented individuals into political parties.
PM Modi reiterated his stance in March after the state assembly polls. Addressing the party workers at the BJP's headquarters, PM Modi said,"Dynastic politics would have no place in the BJP and the family-led political parties will continue to be challenged."
