From Kerala to Kabul to Kashmir— how Islamic State Khorasan poses threat to India

The core group of the Islamic State (Khorasan) consists of Pakistanis and Afghans, says a UN report.

On July 10, 2016, a resident of Kasaragod in the South Indian state of Kerala approached the state police saying that his 30-year-old son Abdul Rashid along with his wife Ayisha, also known as Sonia Sebastian, and their child were missing for over a month after they left for Mumbai. As the investigation started, it was revealed that this was not the only case where a couple was untraceable from the same locality.
