A day after two cases of Omicron variant were reported in Karnataka, the Centre and states are on high alert to keep the virus at bay. The Karnataka government is also trying to find 10 more people who went missing after arriving in Bengaluru.
Central and state governments continue to be on alert over the Omicron threat, a day after India got its first two cases of the coronavirus variant that has pressed an alarm button across the globe.
India reported its first cases of the Omicron variant on Thursday, both of which were reported from Karnataka. While one of the patients is a South Africa returnee who managed to travel out of India on November 27, the other is a health worker in Bengaluru.
