Frito-Lay workers choose to end strike after nearly a month
NY Post
The chips are no longer down for Frito-Lay workers, who voted to accept a new contract after a 20-day strike — even though their union-management recommended against it, according to a report.
The new agreement gives members of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers union a 4 percent pay hike over two years, and guarantees workers at least one day off a week, according to the Topeka Capitol-Journal. More than 500 workers walked off the job at the company’s Topeka, Kansas, plant earlier this month, with many noting what they called unrelenting work conditions.More Related News
