Tension has flared up again along the Assam-Meghalaya border following a faceoff between the police forces of the neighbouring states near the inter-state border. The area between Assam’s West Karbi Anglong district and Meghalaya’s Ri-Bhoi district has been tense since Tuesday and the situation turned critical on Wednesday when some people from Meghalaya along with the local police allegedly tried to enter into the Assam side near Umlapher area in West Karbi Anglong.
