A freezing rain warning has been issued in London, Ont., and surrounding areas. The rain is expected to change into snow and will be mixed with freezing drizzle by Monday afternoon.
Other areas under the freezing rain warning are Parkhill, Eastern Middlesex County, Strathoy, Komoka, and Western Middlesex County.
London police are urging drivers to slow down and drive according to weather conditions by watching out for taillights ahead of them and maintain a safe following distance from other cars on the road.
Environment Canada says that precipitation is expected to change over to snow, possibly mixed with freezing drizzle by the afternoon.
"Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Slow down driving in slippery conditions," they said.
