Four Pondicherry Civil Service officers appointed to Indian Administrative Service, joining Joint AGMUT cadre after meeting officials.
Four senior officers belonging to the Pondicherry Civil Service — P. Priytarshny, Y.L.N Reddy, L. Mohamed Mansoor and P. T Rudra Goud — have been appointed to the Indian Administrative Service by the Union government.
The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions in a notification issued on April 8 has informed its decision to appoint the officers to the IAS cadre. After their appointment, the officers will become part of the Joint AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, Union Territory) cadre.
“The President is pleased to appoint the members of the State Civil Service of U.T. Segment to the Indian Administrative Service against the vacancies determined by the government of India,” the notification said.
The four officers called on Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan and Chief Minister N. Rangasamy on Wednesday.

The Delhi High Court on Monday ordered status quo till July 10 on the demolition notices issued by the Delhi Development Authority against seven residents of Okhla’s Batla House area. The court posted the matter for hearing on July 10, when the other petitions related to the demolitions in the area are also scheduled for hearing. The counsel for the petitioners argued that the DDA and the Delhi government had “indiscriminately targeted properties beyond the identified area and without issuance of individual notices”.
