The Mangaluru Rural Police on Thursday arrested four persons on charges of assaulting the panchayat development officer (PDO) of Mallur Gram Panchayat on Tuesday. The four had allegedly assaulted Rajesh Shetty as he was videorecording their violations of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour. Police gave the names of the accused as Mohammad Hidayatullah (25), who has three pending cases against him; Ahmed Bashir (30), who has three pending cases against him, both residents of Farangipet in Bantwal Taluk; Abubaker Siddiq (26), resident of Kutthar; and Abdul Siddiq (33), resident of Farangipet. One more accused, Mansur Ali, is still at large.More Related News
