Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh on Monday asked for more time from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to appear before it ahead of his summons citing health reasons. According to Enforcement Directorate (ED), Param Bir Singh has cited health reasons for skipping summons, saying that he is unwell and is scheduled to undergo surgery. The Enforcement Directorate had summoned the former Mumbai Police Commissioner to record a statement in connection with the Rs 100 crore money laundering case against ex-Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. Param Bir Singh, in his letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, had alleged that Anil Deshmukh had indulged in "malpractices" and asked suspended Mumbai Police officer Sachin Waze to collect Rs 100 crores every month.More Related News
