Former Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri returns to Premier League, appointed as Watford manager

Claudio Ranieri returns to the Premier League, 2 years after being sacked by Fulham. The Italian manager had led Leicester City to a shock league title in the 2015-16 season.

Premier League club Watford appointed Claudio Ranieri as the new manager on a two-year contract, replacing Xisco Munoz. Ranieri returns to the Premier League for the frist time since 2019 wherein he coached Fulham.

Ranieri is known for his stint with Leicester City during the 2015-16 season. Under Ranieri, Leicester won the Premier League title for the first time in the history, shocking bookmakers and rallying against all odds.
