During the meeting, Kumaraswamy heaped praise on KCR for his relentless agitation for a separate state, peacefully achieving Telangana statehood and the development the state has witnessed in a span of eight years after its formation.

The former Karnataka Chief Minister said the vast experience KCR has garnered by involving people from all communities to achieve his goal of a separate state in a democratic and peaceful manner is very essential for India in the current situation.
Kumaraswamy said KCR should play an active role in national politics given the absence of an alternative in the governance of the country.
