Former air force employee jumps onto Namma Metro track at Jalahalli station in Bengaluru

Alert Namma Metro staff rescued a man who jumped onto the track while a train was heading towards the Jalahalli metro station on the Green Line in Bengaluru.

According to BMRCL officials, Pandey jumped onto the track while a train was approaching Jalahalli metro station around 10.25 a.m. The pilot stopped the train while the staff got down to the track and pulled him out.
Metro officials admitted the man to a hospital and alerted the police, who are probing the incident.
According to a statement from BMRCL: “Upon the incident, immediately Emergency Trip System ETS was operated. The man was rescued by BMRCL staff and team. As per preliminary information, no injury was reported.”
As a result, the metro service was suspended for around 15 minutes.
From 10.25 a.m. to 10.50 a.m., four trains were operated in a short loop between Yeshwanthpur and Silk Institute instead of up to Madavara station during this period.
