Former ACP files PIL in Bombay HC seeking removal of Subodh Jaiswal as CBI chief

A retired ACP approached the Bombay High Court to quash the order that appointed IPS officer Subodh Jaiswal the director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
A retired assistant commissioner of police (ACP), R V Trivedi, has approached the Bombay High Court praying for the quashing of the order by which IPS officer Subodh Jaiswal was appointed as director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The plea also prays that Jaiswal should be restrained from performing his duty as CBI director until the plea is disposed off. Trivedi has also requested that the court should call for records and proceedings regarding the appointment of Jaiswal.
