Fodder scam case: Lalu Prasad Yadav reaches Ranchi, to appear before CBI court

Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has been convicted in four cases related to a multi-crore fodder scam.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav reached Ranchi on Sunday. He will appear physically before a Special CBI court in a fodder scam case related to the illegal withdrawal of Rs 139.35 crore from Doranda Treasury.
The CBI Court is to pronounce final judgment in the case against Lalu Yadav and others on February 15.
On reaching Ranchi, party workers gave a rousing welcome to Lalu Yadav at the airport.

Lalu Prasad has so far been convicted in four out of five cases related to a multi-crore fodder scam.
Lalu Prasad had acquired bail in four cases of the fodder scam-Deogarh, Chaibasa, Ranchi's Doranda treasury and the Dumka case.
The Rs 950 crore fodder scam took place in the Animal Husbandry department in Bihar when Prasad was the chief minister.
