Focus on early completion of irrigation projects in north Andhra region, says A.P. Minister

Food and Civil Supplies Minister prioritizes irrigation projects in north Andhra for increased farmer productivity and income.
Food and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar on Saturday said that the State government was focusing on early completion of all irrigation projects of north Andhra region to enable farmers to grow at least two crops in a year.
Along with MLA Bonela Vijayachandra and Joint Collector S.S. Sobhika, he visited the paddy fields at Pedabondapalli in Parvatipuram mandal and listened to the issues of the farmers. He said that the farmers’ income would increase when there would be assured irrigation facilities in fields. He said that the government was ensuring payments within 24 hours after the purchase of paddy from farmers.
