A Florida police officer, lauded as the "Officer for the Month" for August, was charged with breaking into his ex-girlfriend's apartment and strangling her.

According to an arrest affidavit, obtained by FOX 35 Orlando, the victim received a text from him, saying he was also at the club. Bivins reportedly paid for a section of the club for her and her friends and had a "pleasant evening." She is a native of Massachusetts and is based in Orlando, Florida.
