Flight makes emergency landing at Bhubaneswar airport after man falls ill, later dies on way to hospital

A Kolkata-bound flight made an emergency landing at Bhubaneswar airport on Sunday morning after a man fell ill mid-air. Unfortunately, he died on the way to the hospital.
A Kolkata-bound flight made an emergency landing at the airport in Odisha's Bhubaneswar on Sunday morning after a 33-year-old man fell ill onboard the plane.
The passenger, identified as Taimur Ali Khan, was given in-flight medical care and immediately shifted to Capital Hospital on landing in Bhubaneswar. However, he was declared brought dead at the hospital.
The AirAsia flight was on its way from Bengaluru in Karnataka to Kolkata in West Bengal when it had to make an emergency landing at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 7.56 am as a result of the medical emergency.
According to Bhubaneswar airport director Pravat Beuria, the flyer fell ill mid-air, following which as per procedure the flight made an emergency landing.
The deceased, Taimur Ali Khan, was a resident of Purba Medinipur in West Bengal.
