First shipment of Qatari food aid to Lebanese army arrives in Beirut

An Amiri Air Force plane belonging to the Qatari Armed Forces arrived yesteray to Rafic Hariri International Airport carrying 70 tonnes of food product, representing the first shipment of food aid provided by the State of Qatar to the army of the Lebanese Republic.
Receiving the first shipment of aid was a military delegation from the Lebanese army leadership that included Staff Brigadier General Ali Shareef representing Commander of the Lebanese Army General Joseph Aoun, and a number of diplomats at the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Lebanese Republic. The State of Qatar had announced that it will support the Lebanese army with 70 tonnes of food products a month for a year, as part of Qatar’s efforts and firm commitment to support the Lebanese Republic and people, in addition to its belief in the importance of activating joint Arab work.More Related News
