Under the grim shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic-induced lockdown, the 14-day first session of the 15th Kerala Legislative Assembly will commence on Monday with the swearing-in of the 140 newly elected legislators before Pro-Tem Speaker P. T. A. Rahim. The session, summoned by Governor Arif Mohammed Khan in exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (1) of Article 174 of the Constitution of India following the advice of the Cabinet, is to be held in accordance with the COVID-19 protocol. Immediately after the House begins its session at 9 a.m., the legislators will be called in to be sworn in as MLAs in alphabetic order before the Pro-Tem Speaker.More Related News
