The makers of Mysskin’s upcoming directorial, Train, starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead, have released the film’s first look. The image, along with the behind-the-scenes footage from the dubbing studio, was shared on the occasion of the actor’s birthday.
Mysskin took to X to share the image and the clip, captioning it “Happy Birthday Kanamma”.
While the first look features a heavy-bearded Vijay walking inside a train compartment, the BTS clip features him as well as the director and the film’s producer Kalaipuli S Thanu.
Produced by Thanu’s V Creations, Train also stars Nasser, Shruti Haasan, Yugi Sethu, Narain, KS Ravikumar, Sampath Raj, Kalaiyarasan, Ira Dayanand and Preethy Karan. The film marks the second collaboration of Vijay and Shruti after the 2021 film Laabam by late director SP Jananathan.
Interestingly, Mysskin and Vijay have earlier starred in Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Super Deluxe. The director also starred in Sivakarthikeyan’s Maaveeran which featured Vijay Sethupathi as the voice that only Siva’s character could hear.
Mysskin is also handling the music for Train and the film’s cinematography is by Fowzia Fathima known for films like Gulumaal: The Escape and Mitr, My Friend.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi will also be seen in Ace, which marks his reunion with director Arumuga Kumar after the 2018 black comedy Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren. The film will mark the Tamil debut of Kannada actor Rukmini Vasanth of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello fame. Vijay also has an untitled film with director Pandiraj, co-starring Nithya Menen with whom he is collaborating once again after the Malayalam film 19(1)(a).
