Six teams from mines across the N.W.T. and Nunavut — and one from the U.S. — practised their safety skills at the annual NWT/NU Mine Rescue Competition and Picnic in Yellowknife this weekend.
The public event, which is organized by the Northern Mining Health and Safety Forum, was held at the city's Multiplex, and wrapped up with a free barbecue on Saturday afternoon.
