According to the preliminary probe, the fire broke out because of a short circuit in the welding machine.
A fire broke out at Terminal 2 of Jaipur International Airport around 8.45 pm on Friday evening.
According to the information, the cause of the fire was a spark from a short circuit in a welding machine while preparing a cabin in the arrival hall of a private company. The spark spread as it passed through the belongings lying nearby, causing panic among the passengers.

The top security officers reached the spot after hearing the sound of an emergency siren. Efforts were made to control the fire with extinguishers and fire systems.
The fire was brought under control after about ten minutes.
Meanwhile, passengers sitting inside the terminal were sent 400 metres away.
