
FIR against Mani Ratnam after horse dies at Ponniyin Selvan shoot. PETA intervenes

A horse which was used for the shooting of Ponniyin Selvan died in a head-on collision. An FIR has been registered against director Mani Ratnam and the owner of the horse. Also, Animal Welfare Board has called in for an enquiry.
Director Mani Ratnam and his team have been shooting for Ponniyin Selvan for the past few months. Since the film is a period war story, the makers have used a lot of horses during the shooting. While shooting, a horse was involved in a head-on collision and died. Soon, PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) India filed a complaint, after which an FIR was lodged by Abdullapurmet Police against Madras Talkies (production house of Mani Ratnam) management and the owner of the horse. Following this, Animal Welfare Board has called in Mani Ratnam for an enquiry.More Related News
