FIR against Anil Deshmukh: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut says CBI has an 'agenda'
India Today
The Shiv Sena leader Sanajy Raut on Saturday accused the CBI of having an ' agenda' and stated that "nobody is above the law." He also declined to comment on the CBI's action against Deshmukh.
With the CBI conducting searches on the premises of former Maharashtra Minister Anil Deshmukh in connection with allegations made by former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh, a war of words erupted between Shiv Sen and BJP. Accusing the CBI of having an "agenda", Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that “nobody is above the law.” However, Raut declined to comment on the CBI's action against Deshmukh, saying that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) govt will assess the situation in the future. “It is not correct to comment on CBI’s action. Anil Deshmukh has already given his statement in the case. CBI is doing its work, similarly high court and the Maha Vikas Aghadi [MVA] government are doing their own bit,” said Sanjay Raut.More Related News
