Sawan Kumar Tak was cremated in Mumbai's Pawan Hans crematorium. Many veteran personalities from Bollywood, including Manmohan Shetty, David Dhawan, Sham Kaushal, and Prem Chopra were seen attending.
Filmmmaker Sawan Kumar Tak breathed his last on August 25 at 4.15 pm. The veteran filmmaker passed away due to a heart attack in Mumbai. The filmmaker had a past record of lung-related ailments and was battling for his life in the ICU. He has now been cremated in Mumbai's Pawan Hans. Many celebs were seen attending the veteran filmmaker's funeral.
Sawan Kumar Tak was laid to rest in Mumbai's Pawan Hans crematorium. Many veteran personalities from Bollywood, including Manmohan Shetty, David Dhawan, Sham Kaushal, and Prem Chopra were seen attending the funeral. They paid their last respects to the filmmaker.
Salman Khan paid his respect to Sawan Kumar Tak on Instagram. Sharing a picture with Sawan Kumar, Salman wrote, "May u rest in peace my dear Sawaan ji. Have always loved n respected u (sic)."
Sawan Kumar Tak started his career in the Hindi film industry as a producer with Naunihal in 1967. The film marked Sanjeev Kumar's debut project. Later, in 1972, he made his directorial debut with Gomti Ke Kinare, which was Meena Kumari's last film. Apart from this, Sawan Kumar Tak was also known for giving a break to Mehmood Junior aka Naeem Sayyed. Some of his other notable works include writing lyrics for Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, Sanam Bewafa, Sajan Bina Suhagan, Souten, and others.
