A film based on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been announced on his 392nd birth anniversary. It has been titled Bal Shivaji.
On Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's 392nd birth anniversary, a film has been officially announced about his childhood. Produced by Anand Motion Pictures, Eros International, Legend Studios and Ravi Jadhav Films, the film has been titled Bal Shivaji. The historical saga will showcase untold stories of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's inspiring childhood. It will span across Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's life from 12 to 16 years.
The film, Bal Shivaji, will be directed by Ravi Jadhav. Talking about the film, Sandeep Singh of Legend Studios said, "I always wanted to make a historical. So when Ravi approached me with this subject, it immediately worked for me. It’s an honour to make a film based on an iconic personality like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj."
On the other hand, director and producer Ravi Jadhav added, "It was an instant click with Sandeep, who understood the importance and significance of telling this story of valour. After all, it’s an ode to one of the greatest kings that have ever ruled in India. It certainly will be an inspiring film for all youngsters across the globe."
Directed by RavI Jadhav, Bal Shivaji will go on floors in June 2022. The film will showcase the remarkable journey of young Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who inspired the nation with his bravery. In an official statement, Ravi Jadhav mentioned it took 8 years of research to achieve what he was waiting to narrate on the celluloid.
Ravi wanted to make this film since 2015 and a constructive discussion took place between him and Sandeep Singh in 2021. Ravi narrated the film to Sandeep and things eventually went as planned. Now, the makers are ready to set the camera rolling from June 2022.
