ED conducts searches in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram related to FIIT JEE closure, alleging diversion of funds by promoters.
The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday (April 24, 2025) carried out searches at eight locations in Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram in a case related to promoters/owners of a coaching centre.
In January 2025, several FIIT JEE centres across the country abruptly closed down without any notice. The parents have alleged that they had made advance payments for the entire year and FIITJEE centres did not inform them about the sudden closure of their centre leaving the future of 12,000 students uncertain.
The ED searches were on the residential premises of key alleged conspirators, including one of the promoters D.K. Goel, as well as few offices, according to agency sources
Allegations include diversion of funds taken from coaching centres towards personal gains/other entities.

The Delhi High Court on Monday ordered status quo till July 10 on the demolition notices issued by the Delhi Development Authority against seven residents of Okhla’s Batla House area. The court posted the matter for hearing on July 10, when the other petitions related to the demolitions in the area are also scheduled for hearing. The counsel for the petitioners argued that the DDA and the Delhi government had “indiscriminately targeted properties beyond the identified area and without issuance of individual notices”.
