Fight against Covid: How different countries responded differently to vaccine rollouts
India Today
Israel has been one of the leaders in inoculation with more than 60 per cent of the total population getting fully vaccinated. In fact, it has been one of the early movers in administering booster doses to vulnerable groups.
At the peak of one of the early coronavirus waves in the last week of September 2020, Israel was reporting nearly 670 cases per million population. The fatality number was around 3 per million population.
Exactly a year later, in the middle of September of 2021 to be precise, Israel was in the midst of one of the fiercest waves again, with case count nearly doubling from the year-ago level. There was no spike in death count though.
