Female giraffe dies of ‘pneumonia’ at Hyderabad zoo

As per preliminary post-mortem reports, the giraffe was suspected to be suffering from pneumonia and was being treated accordingly since last week.

A 4-year-old female giraffe named Bubli at Hyderabad's Nehru Zoological Park died on Wednesday after a brief illness. The zoo authorities suspected it to be a case of pneumonia. Bubli was brought to the Hyderabad zoo in 2019 under an animal exchange program from Kolkata’s Alipore Zoological Garden. As per preliminary post-mortem reports, Bubli was suspected to be suffering from pneumonia and was being treated accordingly since last week.
