Father Stan Swamy's funeral to take place in Mumbai on Tuesday

Tribal activist Jesuit priest Father Stan Swamy (84), arrested by NIA under UAPA in October 2020, died in Mumbai waiting for interim medical bail in the Elgar Parishad-Maoist links case.

Tributes poured in from supporters of activist Stan Swamy, an accused in the Elgar Parishad-Maoist links case, who died on Monday. The 84-year-old Jesuit priest was admitted to Holy Family hospital where he was undergoing treatment following a court order on May 28.
