A fatal crash on the Trans-Canada Highway is under investigation in West Vancouver Thursday.

Few details about the collision were provided by police, but the West Vancouver Police Department said on social media the highway was closed westbound at Westport Road. Emergency crews were called to the scene just before midnight and multiple vehicles were involved.
"There is currently no ETA for the highway to reopen," the post said. "Significant delays for access to BC Ferries and beyond."
According to DriveBC, westbound traffic along the highway is being detoured at Exit 4, Caulfield.
