Farhan Akhtar recalls his 'awkward' date with Shibani Dandekar, says 'I didn't say anything'

Over a month after their wedding, Farhan Akhtar opened up about his first date with his now-wife Shibani Dandekar. The Bollywood actor said that their first date was 'awkward'.

It has been over a month since Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar got married and they are still painting the town red with romance. After dating each other for a few years, Farhan exchanged wedding vows with Shibani in an intimate ceremony on February 19, 2022. Until now, the couple had not been talking about their relationship, but after their marriage, they are slowly opening up about their love affair. In a recent interview, Farhan spoke about his first date with Shibani.

In an interview with CNN news, Farhan Akhtar opened up about his first 'awkward' date with his now-wife Shibani Dandekar. The actor stated that Shibani had run out of all the topics in her head on their first date.

"It was very awkward. Shibani tells people how she could hear the sound of the cutlery cutting on the plate. It was so quiet. I wasn't talking at all and she had run out of all the topics in her head. I didn't say anything," Farhan revealed.

Farhan Akhtar first met Shibani Dandekar on a show called I Can Do That. While the actor was the host of the show, Shibani was seen as a contestant on the show. When they first met, Farhan was married to Adhuna Bhabani, with whom he has two daughters - Shakya and Akira.

A year after he met Shibani Dandekar on the show, Farhan called it quits with Adhuna and filed for divorce. Farhan and Adhuna were granted divorce in 2017 after 16 years of their marriage.

Meanwhile, on the movie front, Farhan will be directing Jee Le Zaraa. The film will mark Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif's first collaboration on the silver screen. It is being said that Farhan will also be seen in the movie.
