Farhan Akhtar took to Twitter today, February 7, to pen an emotional note for late Lata Mangeshkar. He also recalled an anecdote his father, Javed Akhtar told him once.
Lata Mangeshkar's death on February 6 shocked the entire nation. While the world mourns the loss of the legendary singer, tributes have been pouring in for her continuously. Farhan Akhtar also took to his Twitter account today, February 7, to write an emotional note for Lata Mangeshkar. He praised her singing skills and also recalled an anecdote that his father, Javed Akhtar had once shared with him.
The entire nation was left mourning for Lata Mangeshkar on Sunday who touched the hearts of millions. Farhan Akhar also remembered the legendary singer in his official Twitter account and wrote, "Listening to Lata-ji’s songs today & remembered dad telling me what a renowned classical musician once told him.. if you take a strand of hair and split it, then split it further and further, till it cannot be split anymore, that’s how accurate Lata-ji’s sur is. Pitch perfect (sic)," along with a heart emoji.

Lata Mangeshkar passed away at the age of 92. She was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on January 8 after she tested positive for Covid-19. She was under treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) over the past couple of weeks. After showing signs of improvement recently, her health condition deteriorated and she passed away yesterday, February 6. Lata Mangeshkar was cremated at Shivaji Park in Mumbai.
