KPCC spokesperson M. Lakshman on Friday said that petitioner H. Ramamurthy had manufactured ‘fake documents’ and submitted these to the Raj Bhavan seeking sanction for prosecution of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for providing “deemed extension” for C-category mines to eight mining companies in alleged violation of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 2015.
The same team led by Mr. Ramamurthy had submitted complaints to the lower court, High Court, Karnataka Lokayukta, CBI and Central Mining Department seeking action against the Chief Minister in the last 2 to 3 years, but no action was initiated so far, the Congress leader said.
He said the allegations were politically motivated. Mr. Ramamurthy had complained against Mr. Siddaramaiah repeatedly to politically damage the Chief Minister’s Office, he added.
Mr. Lakshman said Governors’ offices across the country have become ‘de-facto BJP offices’.
