Firozabad Police busted a gang printing fake Indian currency notes and arrested three accused involved in the crime. Fake notes worth Rs 53,000 were also recovered by officials.
Firozabad Police busted a gang printing fake currency notes and nabbed three people involved in the crime. Officials recovered a total of Rs 53,000 in fake Indian notes. The accused were identified as Ramveer, Kamal Pratap and Kulwinder living in Jagjeevan Nagar of Ramgarh area under Firozabad police station limits.
According to the police, the accused printed fake notes on their computers at their residence and employed agents to distribute their counterfeit notes. These had been printing fake notes for almost three years and had learned how to do so by watching YouTube channels.
Officials said that women were also used in a special role to distribute the fake notes.
The accused are currently being held at Agra’s Hari Parbhat police station for further questioning.
Ashish Tiwari, Special Superintendent of Police, Firozabad, said, “Three counterfeiters have been arrested. A large amount of materials, including fake currency, have been found and the accused are being further questioned.
