Fahadh Faasil's Malik and Prithviraj Sukumaran's Cold Case are the latest films to skip theatrical release and go the OTT way. Producer Anto Joseph, in a statement, revealed that he waited for a long time to release the two big stars' films in theatres. However, theatres across the country are shut again due to the second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Hence, Anto Joseph has decided to release the two films on OTT. Malayalam producer Anto Joseph issued a statement in which he revealed the reason behind releasing Fahadh Faasil's Malik and Prithviraj's Cold Case on streaming platforms. He said that Malik was supposed to release in theatres alongside Mohanlal's National Award-winning Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham on May 13.
